Simple… Bc its pure fat and we like to act like it isnt and that its just like the coffee we have at home…

When we make our own we would realize that we were adding like a gallon of cream or whatever and that we were making something with like 60 g of fat….but at a coffee shop we never are 100% sure how unhelathy the drink is so we tend to overlook it….

I’m sure it tastes better because it’s 100% fresh a they probaly can heat/cook it a certain way! I personally like coffee from shops than at home:)

    Few possible reasons:

It’s not exactly the same coffee because the coffee they use is much fresher than what they sell…

they have better equipment that can consistently regulate the heat of the water and the ratio of water to coffee…

coffee shops actually train their staff to make good coffee. basically, they’re pros we’re just hacks at making coffee

    Several things here:

If you do not put any effort into making the coffee the experience is better.

Dunkin’ Donuts has to clean their coffee makers regularly as part of Health Dept requirements. Therefore there will be little in the way of stale taste, leftover grounds in the system, murky water, etc.

Your drip coffee maker at home probably brews coffee that has a weird bitter taste. If so, it needs to be cleaned. Run a pot of water through that has about 1/4 white vinegar. No coffee in this one! Then run straight water. Run the filter holder through the dishwasher. This ought to improve the taste of your coffee. If not, buy a new drip machine. I learned that the best coffee is made with a French press. They are cheap, brew excellent coffee, require no filters, and can be broken down completely and run through the dishwasher.

Water filtration systems, cleaning of the machine. Difference in the filtering.
